Front Office
POSITION TITLE: Front Office
FLSA STATUS: Non-exempt- Hourly
SUPERVISOR: Office Manager
OBJECTIVE: The receptionist is to welcome and greet patients in the office and over the telephone in a friendly and professional manner. The receptionist is also responsible for coordinating contact between the patients and practitioner, monitor patient treatment and payment plans, aid assistants in maintaining patient flow, and work together with supervisor and/or other receptionist(s) to complete all tasks required at the front desk.
RESPONSIBILITIES (include but are not limited to the following):
• Schedule Appointments.
• Monitor schedule.
• Filing Patient Charts.
• Making Patient Charts for new patient.
• Correctly inputting patients into the Company’s computer software.
• Answer Phones.
• Make financial arrangement as per the Company’s policies and procedures requires.
• Notify laboratories of cases ready to be picked up.
• Prepare for the next day in regards to confirming appointment, run route slips and review, and pull charts.
• Verify insurance benefits.
• Make 20 reactivation calls per day.
QUALIFICATION
Knowledge of:
• Dental Field preferred, but not required.
Skills:
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office products including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
• Ability to learn new computer software.
• Skill in effective communication, both orally and in writing.
• Ability to effectively communicate with the team regarding expectations.
Requirements:
• High School Diploma.
• Two or more years of related office experience.
